HRTM Graduate Heads to Orlando Post

Cheyney University Senior Latrina Johnson has been selected for a Management Training position with Loews Hotels in Orlando, Fl. She will begin work shortly after she graduates this May. "I am thrilled to have the opportunity to work with Loews Hotels. My experience with the HRTM Department and the Keystone Honors Academy far exceeded my expectations. This offer serves as a reflection of all the effort I put forth while attending Cheyney.”
Ms. Johnson is a Keystone Honors Scholar with a 3.9 GPA and a student member of the Multicultural Affairs Congress Educational Committee. She recently gained national attention as a competitor in the University of Delaware Entrepreneurship Summit. She serves as the President of the National Society of Minorities in Hospitality, Cheyney University Chapter, is President of Eta Sigma Delta Honor Society Cheyney University Chapter, and has assisted Professor Murray with consulting projects for local restaurant groups.
Her selection for this highly competitive position is a reflection of her talent and character. Professor Murray states, “Latrina is an example of the work that my team and I have been engaged in over the last couple of years. She is one of the first students I have taught at Cheyney University and gives a clear and precise snap-shot of the exceptional finished product the HRTM program can produce for corporate America. I am thrilled that she has positioned herself with an excellent company. ”
