Two Dozen Cheyney Student Athletes Named Scholar Athletes

July 10, 2012 -- The Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) is pleased to announce its 2011-12 Scholar-Athletes. A new record of 2,176 student-athletes from the PSAC’s 16 institutions has garnered Scholar-Athlete honors, which breaks the old mark of 2,047 that was set last year.
The total of 2,176 represents 35 percent of all student-athletes competing at the PSAC's 16 schools, which is also a new record, breaking the old mark of 33 percent, which was set in the 2009-10 academic year.
In order to be named a PSAC Scholar-Athlete, a student-athlete must have compiled a cumulative grade point average of 3.25 or above.
