Discovery Days Activities
August 23, 2012
Welcome all new students to Cheyney University's Discovery Days. Discovery Days are planned to assist your transition to college and familiarize you with the college environment.
During Discovery Days you will:
•Recieve your class schedule
•Learn how to navigate the Cheyney Portal
•Find your way around campus
•Meet members of your Learning Community
•Learn about campus resources
•Particpate in academic & social activities
Wednesday, August 22 (A-M)
Thursday, August 23 (N-Z)
8 AM – 4 PM Check/Move in
Complete the final steps in your enrollment process.
Move into your room if you plan to live on campus.
Make sure you have turned in your health forms and official final high school transcript and satisfied all of your financial obligations to the University departments or offices.

Morning Workshops
IT Workshop - During this time you will learn how to navigate the Cheyney portal Vaux-Logan Building (2nd Floor) (Academic Success Center)
Student Activities will provide a shuttle to Wal-Mart for needed room items.
6 PM Alumni Welcome Ceremony Ada Georges Dining Hall
8 PM Residence Hall Meetings - Informative meetings where you will learn the ropes about life in your residence halls, ie, policies, procedures, and meet residence hall staff at assigned residence halls.
Friday August 24
8 AM – 8:45 AM Breakfast with Student Leaders Ada Georges Dinning Hall
Student leaders will be your official guides and first point of contact through all Discovery Days events and activities.
9 – 10 AM Welcome Cheyney University Class of 2016

10 – 11 AM Transitioning to College and Course Schedule Review
