Two Groups of CU Personnel Attend NCAA Regional Rules Seminars

Staff from multiple Cheyney University departments recently attended NCAA Regional Rules Seminars month. CU Athleic Director, Ruffin Bell reported, "Each year the NCAA puts on Regional Rules Seminar to update the membership on new legislation that was passed at the annual convention in January. Everyone learns about the updates before the seasons begin."
The NCAA Regional Rules Seminars are NCAA legislation, athletics compliance and associated issues educational forum. Attendees usually include athletic administrators, coaches and other campus administrators in the areas of financial aid, registrar and admissions from Divisions I, II and III institutions and conferences. The seminars are designed to benefit participants with different responsibilities, backgrounds, experiences and levels of expertise because NCAA rules are important to more than just athletic departments.
Those who attended from CU were Eric Acolatse (Athletic Business Manager), Kyle Adams (Assistant Women’s Basketball Coach), Ruffin Bell (Athletic Director), Joan Braid (Head Volleyball Coach), Andrew Dunn (Athletic Trainer), Jemal Fisher (Registrar’s Office), Anthony Johnson (Assistant Football Coach), Suzanne Kilian (Assistant Athletic Director), Brianna Liebold (Assistant Track Coach), Kenneth Lockard (Head Football Coach), Lenn Margolis (Sports Information Director), Dawud Morris (Assistant Men’s Basketball Coach), Jolly Ramakrishnan (Faculty Athletic Representative), Chris Roulhac (Assistant Football Coach), Sharlah Singh (Academic Cohort Advisor), Dominique Stephens (Head Men’s Basketball Coach), John Stuart (Equipment Manager), Sheilah Vance (Chief of Staff), Sinyan Whitfield (Administrative Assistant), James Williams (Head Track Coach).
Some attendees went to a seminar in Denver, CO while the others traveled to Indianapolis, IN for a seminar there.
