Barnabus Perry was selected to represent Cheyney University for the 105 Voices of History, National HBCU Concert Choir. The event is going to be showcased at the Kennedy Center in Washington DC on September 19th with musical performances by Dr. Shirley Caesar and Kim Burrell.

According to the Pennsylvania Department of Education (PDE), nineteen Cheyney University students will receive the Bond-Hill Scholarship for the 2010-2011 academic year. A total of twenty-eight scholarships were awarded this year.

scholarship to Indonesia to teach English as a foreign language, the United States Department of State and the
J. William Fulbright Foreign Scholarship Board announced recently.

This year Homecoming (Oct. 7-10) will commence with a Fundraising Gala to honor alumnus Ed Bradley. This Gala will also showcase the renovated Marian Anderson Music Center and provide an opportunity for attendees to spend an evening with famous guests. All funds raised (except for the cost of food) will be employed to support the Call Me MISTER program—a signature teacher education program at Cheyney University. Discovery Week Letter to New Cheyney Students. This year we are encouraging all new and transfer students to participate in a campus activity such as athletics, band, choir, academic club, Greek organizations, and/or student ambassadors. Discovery Week 2010 is held from August 23-29th with orientation sessions scheduled each day to prepare new students with the transition to campus life.
