BS in Hotel Restaurant and Tourism Management

The undergraduate degree program in Hotel, Restaurant, and Tourism Management HRTM is an accredited program that is designed to prepare students for managerial positions in the hospitality industry. The program of study has been developed as a broad-based of study with experiences in general education and professional education. It is designed to provide learning experiences that will present students with the basic skills necessary to function at the management level in the hospitality industry. There are courses in field experience and/or co-op/internship that will increase students’ awareness of job opportunities in their chosen field. opportunities are also developed to provide students with a working knowledge of computer systems and are sensitivity to the vast socio-economic, political, and technological changes, which characterize present-day life and will develop in students an understanding of these changes and their implications. Students are encourage too reach for excellence and are rewarded by an initiation to join the honorary International Hospitality Management Society, Eta Sigma Delta.
