Office of the Provost
As the chief academic officer of the University, the Provost and Senior Vice President for Academic Affairs is responsible to the President for providing administrative oversight and leadership for the development, implementation and management of the academic programs and overall academic plan of the University. The Office of the Provost provides leadership to the University in its core work to support excellence in teaching, learning, and scholarship. The Office also facilitates the development and implementation of academic policies, procedures, and standards for both students and faculty.
The Provost’s Office promotes and provides direction for the advancement of quality undergraduate and graduate education at the University, and facilitates the University’s priority to recruit and retain highly qualified faculty members. In collaboration with the entire academic community, the Office of the Provost and Academic Affairs works to establish the strategic direction of the University that is guided by Cheyney University’s mission to prepare students to be confident, competent, reflective, visionary leaders and responsible citizens.
