Before arriving to campus, it is the students' responsibility to insure that they have reviewed their student accounts and all University obligations have been resolved and clearance from the Bursar's Office has been acquired. Be advised that students will not be permitted to check-in to any residence halls without the appropriate clearance from the Bursar's Office which means a student is fully enrolled.

All students must have a valid Cheyney University ID that is in good condition to check-in to their assigned residence halls.  Students who have misplaced their CU ID must pay the $20 replacement fee at the Bursar's Office and obtain a replacement ID card from the Office of Information Technology located in Vaux Logan Hall prior to March 25, 2012. To increase the level of safety in all residence halls, there will be no exceptions. In addition, students will not be permitted to dine in the dining facilities without a working CU ID card unless they pay cash. 

All students who are approved to reside in housing are reminded to adhere to all University and move-in day policies, procedures, and guidelines to insure that they have a smooth and seamless check-in process on. 

Students MUST completed the following steps prior to arriving on campus for move-in:

  • New Students - Complete All Admission's Packet Forms
  • Pay your $200 (returning students) / $100 (new students) Non-refundable Housing Deposit to the Bursar's Office
  • Complete a Housing Request Form and return it to the Office of Residence Life and Housing
  •  Receive and confirm enrollment clearance from the Bursar's Office
  •  Please keep in mind that students will not be permitted to move into the residence halls if they have not completed these steps.
  • Students should be advised that all offices except the Office of Residence Life and Housing will be closed on Move-In day.  Students will not be able to conduct any University business on this day.
Arriving on Campus & Parking:

All students should arrive on campus through the main entrance located on Creek Road.  You can park in the Marcus Foster parking lot. Students should proceed to the Office of Residence Life and Housing located on the 2nd floor of Burleigh Hall to receive their housing assignment card.

Unloading:

Once a student has received their housing assignment card they can proceed to their assigned residence hall.  Students must move their belongings into their assigned room as quickly as possible to minimize the wait time for other students. Once you have completed your move-in process, you must move your vehicle quickly and park in the parking areas designated for students(Marcus Foster and the Motorcycle Parking Lots).  Students and their families must obey all traffic signs and parking regulations as directed while on campus.  

Family & Friends:  

Family members and significant others must vacate the University campus by 12:00am (midnight) on Move-In Day. 

CU WOLF PACT Agreement:

To insure that students begin a healthy and proactive relationship with their roommate(s), each student will have the opportunity to begin the discussion to create and establish mutual guidelines and rules for their living learning space. All students are required to complete the CU WOLF PACT Agreement and submit it to their Resident Advisors.
