Emlen and Humphreys Halls

Emlen and Humphreys Halls are the suite-style residence halls on campus designated for Honors students. These rooms are designed for single, double, triple, and quad occupancy. These suites offer central air conditioning and private bathrooms. Each room is furnished with each of the following items: beds, dressers, closets, desks, and desk chairs. Common area facilities such as lounges, conference rooms, and study lounges serviced by the University twice a day; in the morning and in the evening.  Emlen and Humphreys Halls are adjacent to Marcus Foster Student Union and conveniently located near the university Snack Bar as well as other activities that are hosted in this facility.  In the basement of both halls is a fully functioning laundry room.

Emlen and Humphreys Halls are located on Cheyney University’s historic quadrangle that not only houses the administrative staff but is the main place for formal events on campus. Each building is supervised by a Campus Living Assistant and a team of Resident Advisors. The building is also an office space for the Dean of the Honors Program at Cheyney University. The staff supervises the residence hall to help make sure your transition into college and independent living goes smoothly. Resident Advisors are your “go to” staff members when you have any questions or concerns.

These residence halls are within short walking distance to on campus SEPTA (Southeast Pennsylvania Transportation Authority) bus routes 120 and 119.  These routes provide public transportation to off campus destinations.

Emlen and Humphreys residents are Keystone scholars and Humphreys scholars only.
