Do You Have An Idea You Would Like To Commercialize?

There are many resources to help you fund the development of your product from concept to market.  At the local level, the University City Science Center works with academic research institutions, companies and organizational partners across the region in order to support our region's economic growth.
Two common ways to fund these efforts are through Small Business Innovation Research (SBIR) and Small Business Technology Transfer (STTR) grants.  SBIR  and STTR funds are federally mandated and exist in numerous federal agencies.
To learn more about these opportunities to help you turn your idea into a reality, please view a Power Point presentation by the University City Science Center which was sponsored on February 21, 2013 by Thomas Jefferson University's Office of Technology Transfer.
We thank Dr. Christopher Laing, Vice President for Science and Technology, University City Science Center, for permission to post his presentation for the benefit of Cheyney University faculty and staff.
If you have any questions, please contact Larry Green, Assistant Vice President for Sponsored Programs at or at (610) 399-2137.
