Commencement Information for 2012 Graduates

Congratulations, Prospective Graduate, family members and guests; and welcome to Cheyney University's Commencement Website! The 2012 Commencement Convocation will be held on the Cheyney University Quadrangle at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, May 12, 2012. All graduates are expected to participate in Commencement and must be in proper academic attire. Please arrive by 9:30 a.m. and report directly to Dudley Hall on the Quadrangle. A special events tent will be set up on the quadrangle to accommodate all of the commencement participants and guests; there will be no need to relocate activities due to inclement weather. Rehearsal for Commencement will be held in Dudley Hall at 1:00 p.m. on Thursday, May 10, 2012

The Doctor Is In - Dr. Pamela Hadley Joins CU Health Center Staff

Dr. Pamela Hadley, a Cheyney University of Pennsylvania graduate, has just joined the Cheyney University staff as campus physician. Dr. Hadley earned her medical degree from the Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine. She completed her training at Cleveland Metropolitan General Hospital, Case Western Reserve.

President Michelle Howard-Vital has alerted Cheyney University alumni, faculty, staff and students that due to campus construction projects, there will be a few inconveniences during Homecoming Week (October 10 - 16). A slightly altered parking and tailgating arrangement has been planned to maximize the safety of the alumni, to work within the Townships rules, and to accommodate as many alumni on campus as possible.

Concerned Black Men, Inc. 3rd African American Band Event - August 27th

The third annual African American Marching Band Event will be held at the John Harris Football Field at Harrisburg High School on August 27 from 1-4 pm. Cheyney University’s Marching Band will perform as well as marching bands from Howard University, Morgan State, Lincoln University and local high schools.
