Dear New Student:

We are pleased to welcome you to our Cheyney University family! By attending Cheyney University you have entered the first stage of becoming a confident, competent, reflective and visionary leader. This letter will provide you with the necessary steps you need to schedule placement testing, register for Wolf Orientation and complete the enrollment process.


Step1: Schedule Placement Testing & Register for Wolf Orientation

You can schedule a Placement Testing date and register for Wolf Orientation by clicking this link Wolf Orientation Spring 2014 by 12:00pm on January 7, 2014.

When is Placement Testing?

Placement testing will be held on:

-January 8, 2014 from 10:00am to 12:00pm and 2:00pm to 4:00pm in Marcus Foster Student Alumni Center 1837 University Circle Cheyney, PA 19319

-January 9, 2014 from 10:00am to 12:00pm and 2:00pm to 4:00pm in Marcus Foster Student Alumni Center 1837 University Circle Cheyney, PA 19319

Step 2 : Attend Your Scheduled Placement Testing Session

What is the Placement Test?

You will be given the Accuplacer which is an assessment that examines your Math, English, and Reading skills. Your Accuplacer scores are used to place you in the correct courses. Placement testing is for New Students and Transfers who have less than 30 credits and have not taken college level Math and/or English courses. Use this link to prepare for the placement test http://accuplacer.collegeboard.org/students. Placement testing is for students only, guests are not allowed.

Step 3: Complete the Enrollment Process

Enrollment Process . . .

The enrollment process is completed when a student has paid her/his tuition and fees, submitted all required documentation and completed the placement test. Please note that you will not be allowed to attend Wolf Orientation, schedule classes or receive housing until you have completed the enrollment process which includes:

1) Making satisfactory financial arrangements for the total cost of fees, room, board and tuition;

-All New Student fees can be paid by visiting this link Bursar;

2) Submitting all required documentation; and

3) Taking the placement test;

When can I finish the Enrollment Process?

We encourage you to complete the enrollment process by January 10, 2014 or earlier by following the Check List instructions. Students are encouraged to visit the Admissions, Financial Aid and Bursar offices while on campus for placement testing on either January 8 or 9, 2014 to ensure that the steps for enrollment have been completed.

Step 4: Attend Wolf Orientation

What is Wolf Orientation?

Wolf Orientation is designed to provide a comprehensive introduction to Cheyney University by offering a variety of interactive sessions that will make your transition into college life easier. You will have the opportunity to interact with Cheyney University faculty, staff, administrators, and student leaders. Wolf Orientation is mandatory.

When is Wolf Orientation?

Wolf Orientation happens a few days before the semester begins when new students move into the residence halls.

New students are expected to arrive on Friday January 17, 2014 at 9:00 am and report to the Duckrey Social Science Building, Auditorium.

After confirming completion of the enrollment process, students will check-in for Wolf Orientation, receive their housing assignments and their student id badges, and will be able to move into the Residence Halls.

Orientation begins on January 17, 2014 with dinner at 5:30 pm in Ada Georges Dining Hall and continues through Saturday, January 18, 2014 at 6:00 pm.
